How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Contract Administrator / Buyer

Our client, an established and respected building services company based in Norfolk, is looking for an organised, capable Contract Administrator/Buyer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on detail, enjoys juggling multiple priorities and wants to play a key role in keeping projects running smoothly from the back office.

    The Role

Working closely with the wider commercial and operations team, the successful candidate will take ownership of contract administration and procurement across a varied portfolio of projects. It's a role with genuine variety, no two days the same, covering everything from raising orders and negotiating with suppliers to keeping contract paperwork accurate and up to date.

    The Role Will Involve

Raising purchase orders and managing procurement across live projects
Sourcing materials and negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors
Maintaining accurate contract and order records
Liaising with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials
Supporting the wider team with general contract administration duties
Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to secure the best value for the business
What Our Client Is Looking For

Strong organisational skills and real attention to detail
Confidence negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors
Previous experience in a contract administration, buying, or procurement role (construction or building services background advantageous but not essential)
A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to manage competing priorities
Good communication skills, comfortable liaising across site and office teams
IT literate, with solid working knowledge of Excel and general office systems
    Why Apply

This is a stable, varied role within a well-regarded business, offering the chance to get involved across a broad range of projects and build strong relationships across the industry. Our client values people who take ownership and get things right first time and offers genuine scope to develop within the role.

    Sound Like the Right Fit?

Candidates with the organisation, drive, and attention to detail this role demands are encouraged to get in touch.
