How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is a trade body that works with a network of ambitious independent agencies. They're looking for someone on a full-time or fractional basis, to play a key part in the organisation's future-ready plans.


    This is a senior, influential role with direct impact on the growth, profitability and competitiveness of member agencies and the wider independent agency community. You'll act as a trusted adviser to agency CEOs and founders, translating insights into practical programmes that are people-first and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.


    Key responsibilities:

    • Lead the people strategy, identifying the skills and capabilities that drive agency growth and profitability
    • Develop a high-impact training and development programmes that cover leadership, new business, client growth, productivity, effective management, high performing leadership and future-facing skills
    • Support agency personnel with key people challenges, from building high-performing leadership teams and high-performance cultures to talent development and succession planning
    • Build and support a best-in-class network of trainers, coaches, consultants and business leaders, and develop events and forums that deliver actionable insight and peer learning
    • Help position the trade body as a leading authority on the future of the industry and independent agencies through research, benchmarking, case studies and practical tools


    We're looking for:

    • Someone commercially minded who understands agency pressure points and organisational performance, with a background in people and culture
    • Experience from an agency, consultancy, professional services, training or senior people/HR background – commercial impact and credibility matter more than sector
    • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels from junior to C-suite, including founders and leadership teams, to translate people and capability development into business outcomes
    • A strategic thinker, great communicator and influencer who can work entrepreneurially, as well as within a wider team
    • Curiosity about the future of work and the future of the industry, understanding the unique impact a trade body plays as part of the ecosystem
