Operations Administrator

Are you an organised and proactive administrator looking to build a career within transport and logistics? We are recruiting for an Operations Administrator to join a busy and growing transport team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with customers and drivers, and being at the heart of a busy operation. The role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to develop into a key member of the transport department.

Duties include:

Supporting Transport Managers with day-to-day operations
Acting as a first point of contact for drivers, customers, and depot colleagues
Managing customer and operational enquiries via telephone and email
Monitoring shared inboxes and ensuring queries are resolved promptly
Handling reception duties, including answering calls and welcoming visitors
Building strong working relationships with customers and drivers
Providing administrative support across the transport department
Learning all aspects of the transport operation to provide cover and support where requiredWhat We Are Looking For:

Previous administration experience (previous experience within Transport, Logistics, Fleet Management, or Vehicle Operations would be an advantage but not essential)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Confident using Microsoft Office packages
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
A positive, flexible, and team-focused attitude
