How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Office Administrator – Southport – £16/hr – Temp to Perm

    £16.00 per hour PAYE | 3-Month Temp to Perm | Permanent Salary Circa £30,000 DOE

    We are currently recruiting an experienced Office Administrator to join a busy and growing business based in Southport.

    This is an excellent temp-to-permanent opportunity, initially working through the agency for approximately 3 months before transferring to a permanent position with the company.

    The successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the office, coordinating engineers, managing schedules, producing reports and providing a high level of customer service to clients.

    The Role

    Your responsibilities will include:

    *

    Coordinating and maintaining engineer diaries and work schedules.

    *

    Preparing and completing technical reports accurately and on time.

    *

    Managing and updating client and contractor portals.

    *

    Producing, sending and following up invoices.

    *

    Answering incoming calls and dealing with customer enquiries professionally.

    *

    Liaising with engineers, clients, contractors and suppliers.

    *

    Ensuring jobs and associated documentation are processed efficiently.

    *

    Maintaining accurate records across internal systems.

    *

    General administration and office support duties.

    What We're Looking For

    *

    Previous experience within the drainage, utilities or a similar field-service environment would be highly advantageous.

    *

    Experience producing CCTV drainage reports/reporting would be particularly beneficial.

    *

    Strong administration and IT skills.

    *

    Confident using client portals, reporting systems and invoicing software.

    *

    Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.

    *

    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities.

    *

    Comfortable coordinating engineers and field-based teams.

    *

    Able to work independently as well as part of a small office team.

    Package

    *

    £16.00 per hour PAYE during the initial temporary period.

    *

    3-month temp-to-permanent opportunity.

    *

    Permanent salary expected to be circa £30,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.

    Training and ongoing support.
