How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Welder Fabricator

    Job Title: Welder / Fabricator
    Location: Leicester
    Pay Rate: £15.00 - 17.00 per hour
    Shift: Monday to Friday – Day Shift
    Job Type: Permanent

    Engineering @ 365 is proud to be working with a respected UK manufacturer of heavy plant equipment. As their workshop demand continues to grow, we are looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their skilled team in Leicester.

    About the Role

    This is a permanent, workshop-based position ideal for a confident Welder / Fabricator with experience in MIG welding and heavy steel fabrication. You will be producing high-quality components used in robust machinery for industries such as construction and mining. Working from detailed engineering drawings, you’ll fabricate and weld mild steel sections between 8mm and 20mm thick.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Carry out MIG welding on mild steel components (8mm to 20mm thickness)

    *

    Fabricate steel structures using a variety of tools including grinders, drills, and saws

    *

    Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

    *

    Assemble, weld, and finish fabricated components to a high standard

    *

    Perform quality checks on welds and structures, reworking where required

    *

    Work alongside engineers and production teams to resolve fabrication challenges

    *

    Maintain a clean, organised, and health & safety-compliant workshop environment

    Requirements

    *

    Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator , ideally in heavy engineering or plant manufacturing

    *

    Strong MIG welding ability with mild steel

    *

    Confident reading technical drawings and working independently

    *

    Skilled in using fabrication tools and equipment

    *

    Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work

    *

    Team-focused attitude and strong communication skills

    *

    A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to safety
