How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant
    Location: Walsall WS1
    Daily Rate: £(Apply online only)
    Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract: Long-Term temporary, Temp to Perm

    Long Term Futures are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in WS1, Walsall, supporting children with autism and speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).

    You'll work with pupils who benefit from additional structure, communication support and targeted interventions, helping them access learning, build confidence and become more independent. The role combines 1:1, small-group and classroom support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils while remaining part of the wider school community.

    In this role, you will:

    Support primary-aged pupils with autism and SLCN
    Deliver targeted speech, language and communication activities
    Use visual timetables, prompts and structured routines
    Support social interaction, emotional regulation and independence
    Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions
    Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider support teamYou'll need:

    A Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent in a relevant subject.
    Previous experience supporting primary-aged pupils with SEN.
    Experience with Autism and/or Speech and Language Needs.
    A calm, patient and adaptable approach.
