We are seeking an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer to play a key role in the design and delivery of innovative, sustainable projects across multiple sectors. The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll lead the design and coordination of electrical building services systems while working closely with mechanical engineers, BIM specialists, architects, and other design disciplines.
You'll be involved in a variety of projects, taking ownership of electrical design solutions and helping to deliver high-quality, efficient, and sustainable outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services systems
Produce electrical design calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation
Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and data systems
Coordinate designs with mechanical, public health, structural, and architectural teams
Support projects through all stages, from concept to construction
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, including BS 7671
Work within a BIM environment using Revit and other coordination tools
Attend client and design team meetings
Contribute to low-carbon and sustainable design strategies
Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
Assist with project planning, resource management, and successful project deliveryAbout You
We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience delivering electrical building services designs within a consultancy environment.
You Will Have:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Proven experience within a Building Services (MEP) consultancy
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and BS 7671
Experience delivering projects across multiple design stages
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environmentDesirable Experience
Chartered status or working towards chartership (CIBSE, IET or equivalent)
BIM and Autodesk Revit experience
Knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon design principles
