How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Product Manager

Location: South Manchester, hybrid working 3 days onsite
    Employment type: Permanent

We are working with a highly successful, technology led business that is investing significantly in its product capability and customer experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Product Manager to take genuine ownership of digital products, working across the business to identify opportunities, shape priorities and deliver improvements that create measurable value for customers and the organisation.

    The role

You will manage the development and continuous improvement of customer focused digital products, translating business objectives and customer needs into a clear and deliverable product roadmap.

Working closely with technology, commercial, marketing, operations and customer teams, you will ensure that product decisions are supported by insight, data and a strong understanding of the customer journey.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Owning and developing the product roadmap, ensuring priorities support the wider business strategy
    • Gathering and translating customer, commercial and operational requirements into clear product outcomes
    • Working closely with technology and delivery teams throughout the product development lifecycle
    • Using customer insight, market intelligence and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Defining requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and measures of success
    • Managing and prioritising the product backlog
    • Improving customer journeys, digital experiences and conversion
    • Coordinating stakeholders across multiple business functions
    • Monitoring product performance and using data to inform future priorities
    • Supporting product launches and ensuring effective adoption across the business
    • Balancing customer needs, commercial value and technical feasibility

    About you

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who combines strong product discipline with commercial awareness and an ability to work effectively across a complex organisation.

    You are likely to offer:

    • Experience managing digital products within a commercial, customer focused environment
    • A strong understanding of product discovery, development and continuous improvement
    • Experience building and managing product roadmaps and backlogs
    • The ability to translate business and customer needs into clear requirements
    • Confidence working with technology teams, developers and senior stakeholders
    • A data led approach to decision making and measuring product performance
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
    • The ability to challenge constructively, establish priorities and maintain momentum
    • A practical, collaborative approach and a genuine sense of ownership

Experience within insurance, financial services, ecommerce, subscription services or another regulated, digitally enabled sector would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from candidates with relevant experience in other customer focused environments.

    Why apply?

You will be joining an ambitious and growing organisation where product is central to its future development. The position offers the opportunity to take meaningful ownership, influence senior stakeholders and deliver improvements that have a visible impact on customers and commercial performance.

To apply, please submit your CV, together with details of your current compensation, expectations and notice period. All applications will be handled in strict confidence
