How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Commutable from: Kendal, Lancaster, Carlisle, Barrow-in-Furness, Ulverston, Penrith, Windermere, Morecambe, Dalton-in-Furness, and surrounding areas

Are you an Electrical Engineer or similar looking for structured development into Project Engineering / Project Management and full training in PLCs, Switchgears and more industrial equipment?

On offer is a secure, permanent position with a highly regarded multi-discipline electrical engineering services business, investing heavily in training and internal progression so you can step up off the tools over time without losing the technical challenge.

This role suits a candidate driven by technical progression and structured training into Project Engineering, who wants variety, responsibility and a clear route into higher-level project delivery.

    The Role:

Deliver electrical controls projects: installation, commissioning, documentation and compliance
Based from Kendal with travel across a local South Lakes / North Lancashire patch
Monday to Friday, 40 hours (occasional out-of-hours / weekend work as required)
    The Person:

    Relevant electrical engineering experience
Industrial Engineering, Controls, automation and instrumentation experience or similar
    Full UK Driver's license
