Electrical compliance engineer

Nelson Recruitment Services are excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Electrical Compliance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical professional who has a strong understanding of compliance, inspection, testing, and electrical safety standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems, installations, and maintenance activities remain compliant with current legislation and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations and standards.

* Conduct electrical inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.

* Review maintenance records, certification, and technical documentation.

* Identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.

* Provide technical support and guidance on electrical safety matters.

* Support risk assessments and safe systems of work.

* Liaise with contractors, engineers, and site management teams.

* Produce detailed reports and maintain accurate compliance records.

* Assist in the development and continuous improvement of compliance procedures.

Essential Requirements

* Qualified Electrical Engineer or Time-Served Electrician.

* Strong working knowledge of current electrical regulations and compliance standards.

* Experience carrying out inspections, testing, and audits.

* Excellent understanding of electrical safety practices.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

* IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.

* Previous experience within industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or utility sectors.
