Think FE is recruiting an experienced electrical professional to join a well-established further education college in Hull as an Electrical Skills Coach.
This is an excellent opportunity to use your electrical industry experience in a different way, supporting apprentices as they develop the practical skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career. You’ll work closely with learners and employers, providing coaching, mentoring and assessment throughout the apprenticeship journey.
The role
Coaching, mentoring and reviewing electrical apprentices throughout their programme
Assessing learners against relevant apprenticeship standards
Carrying out progress reviews and providing clear, constructive feedback
Supporting learners to develop their practical skills, knowledge and professional behaviours
Working closely with employers to monitor progress and provide guidance
Supporting apprentices at employer premises, at the college and remotely
Helping learners prepare for successful completion of their apprenticeship and achieve the highest grades possible
Maintaining accurate records of learner progress and achievement
What do you need?
A Level 3 Electrical qualification
An Assessor qualification
Previous experience assessing Electrical apprentices or learners
Strong occupational knowledge of the electrical industry
Excellent communication, coaching and organisational skills
A genuine commitment to helping apprentices develop and succeed
