How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

    Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

    We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

    As the Lead Electrical Engineer , you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

    The Lead Electrical Engineer, will be responsible for:

    * Ensure all PPMs, reactive tasks, and statutory compliance activities are completed within SLA

    * Manage HVAP responsibilities including isolations, permits to work, and safe systems of work

    * Lead and coordinate shift engineering operations within a critical environment

    * Monitor and manage plant performance via BMS and CAFM systems

    * Oversee incident management, escalations, and emergency response procedures

    * Maintain accurate shift logs, technical reports, and operational documentation

    * Supervise contractors and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery

    * Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives

    * Provide shift cover and operational support when required

    To be successful for this Lead Electrical Engineer role you must have:

    * NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.

    * Strong understanding of critical M&E systems, BMS, and CAFM platforms

    * Experience leading engineering teams in a shift environment

    * Excellent knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance

    * 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.

    * Previous experience in a critical environment/data centre/high-profile commercial site

    * HV Authorised Person (HVAP) status essential

    * Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
