How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays.
    * Reading and working from electrical drawings, specifications and project documentation.

    * Ensuring installations meet required quality standards and specifications.
    * Completing relevant site paperwork, permits, inspections, records and documentation.
    * Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities where required.
    * Maintaining clear communication with the wider project management and engineering teams.
    * Ensuring all works comply with relevant health, safety and environmental requirements.
    About You
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor with a strong background in electrical installation and site supervision.
Experience within the water, wastewater, utilities or wider infrastructure sectors would be highly advantageous.
    You will need:
    * Proven experience supervising electrical installation works on construction or infrastructure projects.
    * Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, including cable installation and containment.
    * Ability to lead and motivate site teams while maintaining a hands-on approach.
    * Good understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and installation requirements.
    * Strong communication and coordination skills.
    * A proactive and practical approach to problem solving.
    * Good understanding of health, safety and quality requirements.
    * Ability to manage site documentation and work effectively to project programmes.
    * Relevant electrical qualifications and demonstrable supervisory experience.
    * Previous experience working on water or wastewater projects would be advantageous.
    What's on Offer
    * £350–£450 per day, depending on experience.
    * Opportunity to work with a leading regional contractor.
    * Long-term opportunities across multiple new STW schemes.
    * Varied projects within the water and wastewater sector.
    * The opportunity to work as part of an experienced and expanding delivery team.
    * A hands-on role combining electrical supervision, coordination and technical delivery.
    * Potential for ongoing work across a range of schemes.
If you're an experienced Electrical Supervisor looking for your next contract opportunity and have a strong background in electrical installation and site supervision, we'd be keen to hear from you.
