How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the housing community?

We’re on the hunt for a dedicated and enthusiastic Fire Safety Coordinator to join our amazing Property team at Fairhive! If you enjoy helping others, working in a supportive environment, and contributing to meaningful projects, this could be the perfect role for you.

    About the role…

As a valued team member, you will play an essential role in our daily operations where no two days are the same.

Your contributions will help the team deliver on our goals and contribute to Fairhive’s overall success. The role will require team work and collaboration so if you have previous relevant experience and a drive to succeed then we want to hear from you!

As our Fire Safety Coordinator you will support the delivery of our fire safety compliance programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team dedicated to maintaining safe homes and communities, playing an important role in ensuring fire safety actions are effectively managed, monitored and completed.

You will help ensure Fire Risk Assessments, fire door inspections, defects and all associated follow-up actions are accurately recorded, tracked and progressed. Working closely with colleagues across Property, Compliance, Housing and Business Support, as well as contractors and residents, you will help keep critical fire safety activities on schedule while maintaining clear and accurate records.

The role will involve coordinating fire safety inspections, actions and reports while supporting the ongoing delivery of Fire Risk Assessment and fire door inspection programmes. You will raise and monitor works orders, liaise with contractors and internal departments, maintain compliance records and databases, and provide administrative support across the service. You will also assist with reporting, KPI monitoring, invoicing and meetings, while identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance data quality.

    About you...

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills, alongside a strong attention to detail. You will be confident using IT systems, spreadsheets and databases, with the ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively.

Experience within housing, property, compliance, fire safety or repairs administration would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in individuals who can demonstrate strong coordination skills, a proactive approach and the ability to maintain accurate records while building effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

For more information, please refer to the attached job description.
