How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior Agricultural Engineer

    Location: Brigg, Lincolnshire
    Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 per annum
    Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
    Overtime: 1.5× Monday–Saturday | 2× Sundays & Bank Holidays
    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

    The Opportunity

    Interaction Technical is partnering with a well-established and highly respected supplier of agricultural, ground-care and garden machinery.

    Due to continued business growth, they are looking to recruit a Junior Engineer / Apprentice Engineer who is eager to develop their skills and progress towards becoming a fully trained and qualified Agricultural & Ground-Care Equipment Technician.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical or engineering background who is looking to build a long-term career within the agricultural engineering industry.

    The Package

    £26,000 – £29,000 salary, depending on experience
    32 days' holiday, including bank holidays

    The Role

    As an Agricultural Engineer, you will work on a wide range of agricultural, horticultural and ground-care machinery.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Diagnosing faults, servicing machinery and carrying out emergency breakdown repairs
    Working on agricultural machinery including tractors, combines, balers and other equipment
    Travelling to customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs
    Using diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults
    Working on engines, batteries and hydraulic systems
    Carrying out mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs
    Working independently at customer sites while maintaining close communication with colleagues
    Completing relevant documentation accurately and efficiently
    Liaising directly with customers to diagnose faults and identify effective solutions
    Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with customer expectations
    The Requirements

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

    Previous experience working with hydraulics alongside mechanical and electrical systems – essential
    Experience within agricultural, automotive, material handling or mechanical engineering environments – advantageous
    Experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair and servicing – advantageous
    Experience working with engines and batteries – advantageous
    An NVQ, City & Guilds or similar qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering – advantageous
    A full UK driving licence – advantageous
    A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within agricultural engineering
    A willingness to learn, undertake training and develop your technical skillset
