How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We're supporting a well-established international organisation in the search for a Product Owner - POS & Payments to lead the roadmap, optimisation, and delivery of critical point-of-sale and payment solutions across the UK. This role is ideally suited to someone with strong Oracle Simphony experience, or expertise with comparable enterprise POS platforms.

    The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of the POS & Payments product roadmap, working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to deliver enhancements that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and commercial performance. The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert for POS solutions, driving continuous improvement and ensuring maximum value is delivered from the platform.

    Key Responsibilities

Own and prioritise the POS & Payments product roadmap and backlog.
Lead the delivery of new POS and payment initiatives from concept through to implementation.
Drive optimisation, adoption, and continuous improvement of POS capabilities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into product enhancements.
Work closely with vendors and technical teams to maximise platform performance and value.
Ensure solutions remain aligned with operational, regulatory, and security requirements.

    What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role within POS and Payments.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle Simphony or a comparable enterprise POS platform.
Experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, and prioritisation within Agile environments.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Understanding of payment technologies, POS operations, and retail or hospitality environments.
Experience delivering system improvements, upgrades, implementations, or transformation projects.

    Highly Desirable

    Oracle Simphony POS expertise.
    Experience with integrated payment solutions.
Hospitality, retail, travel, or multi-site operational experience.
Product Owner, Product Management, Agile, or Scrum certifications.

    What's on Offer

Ownership of a business-critical POS & Payments product suite.
Opportunity to influence product strategy and technology investment.
A collaborative environment with significant transformation activity.
Hybrid working and long-term career development opportunities. If you have extensive Oracle Simphony experience and enjoy owning the direction and delivery of enterprise POS solutions, we'd love to hear from you
