How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Supply School Administrator - Bromley

    Flexible Supply Work | Daily & Short-Term Assignments | Immediate & Ongoing Opportunities

    Academics Ltd are currently recruiting experienced School Administrators to join our supply team, supporting schools across the South East with short-term, daily and longer-term administration requirements.

    This is an excellent opportunity for experienced school office professionals who are looking for flexible work, want to gain experience across different school environments, or are available to support schools at short notice.

    The Role

    As a Supply School Administrator, you could be supporting schools with a variety of office-based duties, including:

    Managing reception and welcoming visitors to the school.
    Answering telephone calls and responding to emails.
    Dealing professionally with parents, pupils and staff.
    Maintaining accurate pupil and school records.
    Processing attendance information and following up on absences.
    Updating the school's Management Information System (MIS).
    Supporting admissions and new pupil registrations.
    Preparing letters, documents and correspondence.
    Assisting with general school administration and office duties.
    Supporting the wider school office team during busy periods.
    Maintaining confidentiality and following safeguarding procedures at all times.

    About You

    We are looking for candidates who have:

    Previous experience working within a school or education setting.
    Strong administrative and organisational skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Experience using school systems such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or similar.
    Excellent attention to detail.
    The ability to adapt quickly to different school environments and systems.
    A professional, friendly and approachable manner.
    The confidence to work independently and as part of a wider school team.
    A reliable and flexible approach to work.
    An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or you must be willing to obtain one.
