How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning & Development Advisor
    6-Month Opportunity | Full-Time, Part-Time or Consultancy Considered
    £34,787 – £36,672 per annum
Much Hadham, Hertfordshire | On-site role
    Monday–Friday | Full-time or part-time considered

Bring learning to life. Build confidence. Make an impact.

At St Elizabeth’s, learning and development isn’t just about completing training.
It’s about giving people the skills, knowledge and confidence to make a genuine difference to the children, young people and adults we support every day.
We’re looking for an experienced, engaging and hands-on Learning & Development Advisor to join us for an initial six-month period.
And we’re flexible about what that could look like.

Full-time? Great. Part-time? Let’s talk. Experienced L&D consultant looking for your next assignment? We’d like to hear from you too.

This opportunity is open to both internal and external applicants.

This is L&D where you can see the impact

This is an on-site role, and that’s important to us.

You’ll be working alongside the people delivering our education, care and health services – understanding what they need, responding to real challenges and creating learning that makes a difference in practice.
One day you might be delivering an engaging induction session to new starters. The next, you could be working with a manager to identify a learning need, reviewing compliance, developing new training content or facilitating a practical workshop.
It’s varied. It’s people-focused. And you won’t be stuck doing the same thing every day.

What will you get involved in?

    You’ll have the opportunity to:

Deliver engaging mandatory, refresher and developmental learning across St Elizabeth’s.
Facilitate face-to-face and blended learning for colleagues in a wide variety of roles.
Deliver areas such as Safeguarding, First Aid, Manual Handling and Health & Safety, where appropriately qualified.
Work directly with managers and teams to understand learning needs and turn them into practical solutions.
Support learning compliance across our regulated services, including CQC, Ofsted and HSE requirements.
Help develop learning resources, systems and training records.
Evaluate what’s working, challenge what isn’t and bring forward new ideas.
Play an active part in building a culture where learning, development and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.

    What could you bring?
We’re not looking for someone who simply delivers slides.
We’re looking for someone who can engage a room, adapt to different audiences, build relationships and make learning relevant.
    You’ll ideally have:

Experience designing and delivering training, workshops or learning programmes.
    Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
The confidence to work with colleagues and managers at all levels.
Experience using Learning Management Systems and digital learning tools.
Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience within health, social care, education or another regulated environment.
A recognised training qualification, CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
Above all, you’ll bring energy, credibility and a genuine passion for helping people develop.

    Why St Elizabeth’s?
Based in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, St Elizabeth’s is a specialist organisation providing education, care, health and support services to children, young people and adults with complex needs.
Our site brings together an incredible range of services and professionals – meaning L&D here has genuine variety and reach.
You’ll be joining an organisation where you can see the people you’re supporting, understand the services you’re developing learning for and see the difference great training can make.
And although this is initially a six-month opportunity, you’ll have plenty of scope to get involved, bring ideas and leave your mark.

Sound like your kind of opportunity?
Whether you’re looking for your next full-time role, something part-time, an internal development opportunity or a six-month consultancy assignment, we’d love to hear from you.

External applicants: Submit your CV and complete our online application form.
Internal colleagues: We’d really encourage you to apply, and we’re happy to have an informal conversation about the opportunity.

We’ll review applications as they arrive, so we may close the vacancy early if we find the right person.

    Inclusion & Safeguarding
At St Elizabeth’s, we celebrate diversity and are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and recognised as an Investor in People.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Appointment will be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check where applicable.

Come and bring learning to life at St Elizabeth’s.
