How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SEN Teaching Assistants in Cambridgeshire

    Role Type – Temporary

    Rate of Pay – £100-£105 per day

    Location – Cambridgeshire

    Minimum Qualifications/Experience Required – All roles through Tick Education require a minimum of 3 months working with children.

    * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

    * Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)

    * A caring, patient, and resilient approach

    * Strong communication and teamwork skills

    * The ability to adapt support to meet individual needs

    * A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

    Tick Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants in Cambridgeshire to join our supportive team. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

    This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives.

    Key Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistants in Cambridgeshire

    * Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)

    * Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

    * Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies

    * Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

    * Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals

    * Support behaviour management and emotional regulation where required
