How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Location: Greater London & South East
    Department: Mobile Engineering
    Reporting to: Area Manager
    Call-Out: 1 week in 8 | £200 standby payment

    About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team, supporting a portfolio of sites across Greater London and the South East.

This is a mobile role working across a mix of commercial offices and residential properties, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and fault finding across electrical and associated building services.

You’ll take ownership of your sites and workload while being supported by the wider engineering and operational team. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys variety, working across different environments and building strong relationships with clients.

    What You’ll Be Doing

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across electrical systems and equipment.

Attend reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.

Undertake electrical fault finding and remedial works.

Carry out minor electrical installations and associated works where required.

Support the maintenance of wider building services systems as appropriate.

Identify defects and additional works, escalating or reporting these where necessary.

Complete all maintenance records, job updates and reports accurately.

Use CAFM and other company systems to manage jobs and provide updates.

Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and statutory requirements.

Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach when working on client sites.

Work effectively both independently and alongside the wider engineering team.

Participate in the 1-in-8 call-out rota, with a £200 standby payment.

    What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a strong electrical maintenance background, ideally gained within facilities management, building services or commercial property.

    You’ll need:

NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline, or equivalent

Apprenticeship-trained electrical background or equivalent experience

Around 5 years' relevant electrical maintenance experience

Experience of both PPM and reactive maintenance

Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Good understanding of electrical systems within commercial buildings

Awareness of ACOP L8 / Legionella control

Confidence using IT systems including CAFM, email and electronic reporting

    Strong communication and customer-service skills

Ability to work independently across multiple sites

    Full UK driving licence

    Call-Out

The role participates in an engineering call-out rota of approximately 1 week in every 8 weeks.

A £200 standby payment is paid for the call-out week, in addition to the standard package.

    Training & Career Progression

We want our engineers to develop with us. You’ll have access to ongoing training and development, supported through personal development plans, with opportunities to broaden your technical skills and progress as the business continues to grow.
