How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Telesales & Marketing Executive

    Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire

    Salary: £28,000–£33,000 + bonus/commission

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am–5:30pm; Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm

    Contract: Permanent, full-time

Working arrangement: Fully onsite, five days per week

    The opportunity

We are recruiting for an established and successful business in Rushden that has built a strong reputation within its market. The company is now looking for a commercially minded Telesales & Marketing Executive to support its continued growth by generating new business, developing customer relationships and ensuring its marketing activity delivers measurable commercial results.

This is a varied position combining proactive sales activity with hands-on marketing. It is not a purely digital marketing role: the successful candidate must be confident and genuinely happy to pick up the phone, make outbound calls and speak with both prospective and existing customers.

    The role

You will work across sales and marketing, helping to increase customer engagement, generate enquiries and maximise the return from the company’s marketing activity.

    ·   Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers.

    ·   Follow up enquiries, leads, marketing campaigns and previous customer activity.

    ·   Convert opportunities into appointments, showroom visits and sales.

    ·   Develop relationships with existing customers through proactive follow-up and aftersales contact.

    ·   Plan and deliver marketing activity across digital and traditional channels.

    ·   Support the company’s social media, website and wider digital presence.

    ·   Create and coordinate email campaigns, mailshots, advertising and promotions.

    ·   Monitor campaign performance, lead generation, conversion rates and return on investment.

    ·   Maintain accurate customer records and ensure every lead is followed up properly.

    ·   Work with management and the wider sales team to increase enquiries, sales and customer retention.

    ·   Take ownership of activity and suggest new ideas rather than waiting to be directed.

    About you

You may come from a telesales, sales, business development, digital marketing or broader marketing background. What matters most is that you combine creativity with a genuinely commercial mindset and are comfortable moving between marketing activity and direct customer conversations.

    ·   Experience in telesales, sales, marketing or another commercially focused role.

    ·   The confidence and willingness to make regular outbound calls.

    ·   A professional telephone manner and the ability to build rapport quickly.

    ·   A genuine desire to generate sales and deliver measurable results.

    ·   An understanding of digital marketing, social media, lead generation and customer acquisition.

    ·   The ability to understand marketing performance and return on investment.

    ·   Confidence using data and customer feedback to improve campaigns.

    ·   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    ·   Strong organisation, attention to detail and personal ownership.

    ·   A positive, practical and hands-on approach.

    ·   A clean driving licence would be advantageous.

You should be equally happy planning a digital campaign and picking up the phone to follow up the opportunities it generates. If you want a marketing-only role with no direct customer contact or outbound calling, this position will not be the right fit.

    What the company offers

    ·   £28,000–£33,000 annual salary, depending on experience.

    ·   Bonus/commission opportunity.

    ·   Permanent, full-time employment.

    ·   The opportunity to influence both sales and marketing activity.

    ·   Scope to broaden your commercial experience as the business grows.

    ·   Potential progression into a more senior or field-based sales role for the right person.
