£40,000–£55,000 FTE
Are you an experienced HR professional who is looking for a part-time role who enjoys building strong people practices, supporting managers and making a visible impact within a growing business?
We are delighted to be supporting a successful, family-owned business in the recruitment of a Part Time HR Manager.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the owner and senior leadership team, you will provide practical, hands-on HR support across the business. This will initially focus on employee relations, policies, documentation, compliance and day-to-day HR administration before developing into a broader people agenda as the company grows.
This is a standalone role suited to an experienced HR Manager or strong HR Business Partner/generalist who is comfortable working independently within an SME environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance cases
Coach managers and build their confidence in handling people-related matters
Review and develop HR policies, procedures, contracts and employment documentation
Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice
Manage day-to-day HR administration and maintain accurate employee records
Support pay, benefits and employee reward matters
Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning as the business grows
Develop the company’s people infrastructure, processes and overall HR offeringAbout You
You will be a knowledgeable and approachable HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers and delivering practical solutions.
You will bring:
Experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist
Strong employee relations experience
Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Experience working independently, ideally within an SME environment
The confidence to influence and support stakeholders at all levels
A proactive, hands-on and commercially aware approach
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
CIPD qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageousWhy Join?
