National multidisciplinary consultancy based in Manchester specialising across education sector projects. They are currently growing their team adn are looking for a Intermediate Building Surveyor to join their team and report into the Senior Building Surveyor. Alongside the education sector they also work across health, rail, residential and commercial sectors.
Your new role
This is a technical role where you will be delivering contract administration, specification and building surveys. Working largely within education, schools and academies covering the North West region. You will be reporting to the Senior Building Surveyor and the Director.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Undertake measured surveys and produce existing and proposed drawings
Prepare relevant tender documents, working drawings, specifications, design risks, pre-construction information and schedule of works under supervision.
Evaluate tenders and assist in the production of tender reports
Delver contract administration
What you'll need to succeed
A Building Surveying degree or similar
Working towards a registered member with CIAT, RICS, or similar
Intermediate working knowledge and experience of model authoring in Revit
Commercial and contractual awareness, including an understanding of the client's relationships, roles and responsibilities with regard to customers and suppliers.
