How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new company
    A long-established and highly successful building services contractor is seeking a Project Planner to join their growing team in Banbridge.

    With a strong reputation across the UK and Ireland, the business delivers complex MEP projects across sectors including healthcare, commercial, residential, education, industrial and data centres.

    Due to continued growth and a healthy order book, they are looking to appoint a planner to support projects from tender stage through to completion.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner to join a market-leading contractor and play a key role in the successful delivery of major construction projects.

    Your new role
    Reporting to the Head of Planning, you will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring project programmes across a range of construction and building services projects.

    Key duties will include:

    Producing detailed project programmes using Asta PowerProject
    Developing construction, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning schedules
    Reviewing drawings, specifications and project information to develop logical project sequences
    Preparing procurement and information release schedules
    Supporting tender submissions with planning, logistics and methodology information
    Monitoring project progress against programme milestones
    Identifying programme risks, delays and recovery opportunities
    Carrying out programme analysis and "what if" scenario planning
    Supporting extension of time and delay analysis processes where required
    Maintaining programme revisions and change control records
    Conducting regular site visits to review progress and engage with project teams
    Working closely with operational, commercial and design teams throughout project delivery
    Reviewing and challenging contractor and subcontractor programmes where necessaryWhat you'll need to succeed

    Minimum 3 years' experience in a planning role within construction, engineering or MEP projects
    Experience producing and managing project programmes throughout the project lifecycle
    Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project sequencing
    Proficiency in Asta PowerProject
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    Strong organisational and analytical abilities
    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environmentDesirable

    Experience within MEP/building services projects
    Knowledge of commissioning and installation programmes
    Experience of delay analysis and extension of time claims
    Experience using Primavera P6 or Microsoft ProjectWhat you'll get in return
