How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Please note this is a one year FTC starting October/November. We welcome individuals with a notice but be aware this is a FTC.

    Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established business in a highly varied, hands-on delivery role, working closely with senior management on a range of important business projects and initiatives.

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership and making things happen. You'll be trusted to take a project from brief through to delivery - asking the right questions, gathering information, coordinating stakeholders, tracking actions and risks, and making sure things keep moving.

The projects themselves will be diverse, so you could find yourself working on anything from business change and operational improvements to new regulatory requirements. No two projects, or days, are likely to look the same.

You'll be joining a business that genuinely invests in its people, offering excellent long-term career opportunities, an 8% employer pension contribution and the chance to build broad experience across a growing and evolving financial services environment.

    Key Accountabilities

Take ownership of high-priority projects, workstreams and business issues, driving them through to successful completion.
Translate high-level requirements and objectives into clear, practical actions and delivery plans.
Gather information from relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand the requirements, dependencies and desired outcomes.
Approach projects with a naturally inquisitive mindset, understanding the who, what and why behind an initiative.
Develop and maintain proportionate project and delivery plans, ensuring actions remain on track.
Coordinate activity across teams and functions, particularly where responsibility or ownership is distributed.
Track progress, actions, risks, issues, dependencies and decisions, ensuring nothing is allowed to drift.
Proactively identify blockers and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve them, escalating where appropriate.
Monitor changes and emerging risks and assess their potential impact on delivery.
Maintain clear and accurate project documentation, records and evidence to support governance and audit requirements.
Facilitate meetings where required, ensuring actions and decisions are captured and followed through.
Build effective relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business.
Provide concise and meaningful updates to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, issues and decisions required.
Work independently and resourcefully, taking responsibility for moving projects forward rather than waiting for direction.
Adapt quickly to different subject areas, priorities and stakeholders, recognising that no two projects will necessarily be the same.Requirements

Previous experience within financial services or another heavily regulated environment.
Experience delivering projects, regulatory obligations, audit remediation, risk initiatives or similar business change.
Experience managing actions, risks, issues, dependencies and decisions across projects.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Professional qualification or formal training in project delivery, change or governance, such as PRINCE2 or APM, would be advantageous.
Experience using planning and tracking tools such as JIRA, Trello, Confluence, SharePoint or similar would be beneficial.Working Hours

Full-Time Equivalent: 37.5 hours per week

    Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
    Salary description

    £40000.00 - £40000.00 per year
