How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    ELECTRONICS ENGINEER – PRODUCTION ENGINEERING

    A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering to join a leading high-technology organisation developing advanced thermal imaging, night vision and augmented reality systems.

    You will join a newly formed NPI team, working closely with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality to transition complex electronic products from prototype through to scalable production.

    THE ROLE

    You will provide hands-on electronics and production engineering support, with a focus on PCB design, manufacturability, NPI and production test solutions.

    Key responsibilities include:

    *

    Supporting the transition of products from prototype into volume manufacture

    *

    Working with R&D to improve PCB designs for manufacturability and testability

    *

    Supporting PCB assembly, integration and electronic fault finding

    *

    Developing and improving automated production test equipment and fixtures

    *

    Supporting NPI builds and resolving production issues

    *

    Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing improvements

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    *

    Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline

    *

    Proven experience using Altium for PCB design and layout

    *

    Strong experience with PCB assembly, integration and electronics manufacturing

    *

    Good understanding of DFM, DFA and DFT principles

    *

    Experience supporting products through NPI and into production

    *

    Strong board and system-level fault-finding skills

    *

    Understanding of ISO9001 or similar quality systems

    Experience with automated test equipment, microcontrollers, LabVIEW, C/C++ or military-standard product development would be advantageous.
