How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The successful Senior Landscape Architect will be responsible for leading landscape planning projects, with a focus on landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA), environmental assessments, and strategic planning. This role requires a strong understanding of policy and legislation relating to landscape planning, as well as the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including ecology and arboriculture professionals. The Senior Landscape Architect will oversee the preparation of detailed reports, engage with clients and stakeholders, and provide expert advice on the integration of landscape into planning processes. REQUIREMENTS

The Senior Landscape Architect role requires a background in landscape planning or a related field, with experience in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA). Ideally, you’ll be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or working towards it. We’re looking for someone with strong project management skills who can lead teams and deliver high-quality work on time. You'll need to have a good understanding of planning policy and environmental legislation and be comfortable working closely with clients and other professionals including ecologists and arborists. Communication is key, as you’ll be engaging with various stakeholders, so a friendly, proactive approach will help you succeed in this role.
