How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Concrete & Aggregate Shipper - £30,000 - £35,000 (Dependent on Experience)

My client is a growing concrete and aggregate business experiencing exciting expansion, seeking a Concrete & Aggregate Shipper to join a genuinely friendly team where progression and development are genuine priorities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving operation at a pivotal growth moment, where your expertise as a Concrete & Aggregate Shipper will directly shape the business's continued success and your own career trajectory.

As a Concrete & Aggregate Shipper, you'll have the opportunity to play a key role in planning and coordinating daily deliveries, maximising the efficiency and utilisation of the fleet whilst ensuring customers receive their orders on time. You'll manage day-to-day deliveries and communicate clear instructions to drivers regarding locations, customers, and delivery requirements, monitoring progress in real time and proactively resolving problems when plans change. Building strong relationships with customers through clear communication and excellent service, you'll adapt quickly to changing priorities and the demands of a busy working day, working closely with the wider team to maintain the company's reputation as a trusted supplier—giving you genuine variety, real responsibility, and the satisfaction of keeping operations running smoothly as a Concrete & Aggregate Shipper in a growing business.

This Concrete & Aggregate Shipper role would suit an experienced logistics professional who's confident working in a fast-paced environment and making quick decisions. You'll bring previous experience within logistics, transport, or delivery scheduling, strong organisational and planning skills, and excellent communication and customer service abilities. Your experience or knowledge of concrete, aggregates, or building materials, combined with your flexible approach, confident personality, and practical, solutions-focused problem-solving ability, will help you thrive in this Concrete & Aggregate Shipper position.

What you'll enjoy as part of the package:

Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
Genuine opportunity to grow and progress within the business
    Flexible working hours (typically 7:30am–4:00pm)
Friendly team environment with a truly supportive culture
My client is a growing concrete and aggregate business investing in their team and operations as part of their expansion strategy. Their commitment to building a genuinely friendly, supportive team culture, combined with their focus on employee progression and development, makes them an employer where your contribution as a Concrete & Aggregate Shipper is genuinely valued. As an exciting, growing business, they're seeking someone ready to hit the ground running and become a key part of the team.
