How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manufacturing Manager

    Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

    About Treatt

Treatt is a global manufacturer of natural extracts and ingredient solutions used by some of the world's leading brands across the flavour, beverage, fragrance and consumer goods sectors. With a history spanning more than 135 years and continued investment in its people, facilities and innovation, Treatt combines the stability of a global PLC with the culture and agility of a growing business.

The business operates from a modern manufacturing facility in Bury St Edmunds, Treatt is continuing to invest in its manufacturing capability and future growth. This is an opportunity to join a business where ambitious people are given the autonomy, support and exposure to develop their careers while making a genuine impact on operational performance.

    The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an ambitious Production, Manufacturing or Operations Manager who has already demonstrated their capability in their current role and is ready to take that next step in their career.

Reporting to the Global Operations Director, you'll play a key role in leading manufacturing operations across Treatt's UK site. You'll work across production, engineering, quality, HSE and supply chain functions to drive performance, improve capability and support the continued growth of the business.

You'll inherit responsibility for established production teams while gaining exposure to the wider leadership teams, strategic decision-making and site-wide improvement initiatives. The role offers a unique blend of operational accountability, people leadership and continuous improvement, making it an ideal stepping stone toward future senior operational leadership opportunities.

    Key areas of focus include:

Developing and coaching the senior production team.
Driving continuous improvement projects across safety, quality, productivity and cost.
Working closely with engineering and technical teams to improve manufacturing performance.
Supporting capital projects, process improvements and operational change initiatives.
Building a strong operational culture focused on accountability, engagement and performance.
Maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and product quality.

    What You'll Need

We're looking for someone with potential, ambition and leadership capability.

You may already be operating as a Production, Manufacturing or Operations Manager within a manufacturing or process environment and be looking for the opportunity that will accelerate your career.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

A strong understanding of manufacturing operations and how high-performing production environments operate.
Experience leading teams and driving improvements in operational performance.
The ability to work effectively across engineering, quality, HSE and supply chain functions.
A natural curiosity for solving problems and improving processes.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Energy, resilience and a desire to take on greater responsibility.
The ambition to build a longer-term career within operational leadership.
An engineering degree or strong practical engineering knowledge gained within an operational environment would be highly desirable
A background in food, ingredients, chemicals, beverages, FMCG or another process manufacturing environment would be advantageous, although we're open to a range of manufacturing backgrounds.

    Why This Role?

This is a genuine career accelerator.

You'll join a highly regarded manufacturing business where you'll gain exposure well beyond a traditional manufacturing management role, working closely with senior leadership and contributing to the future direction of the site.

For someone with the drive, capability and ambition to progress, the role offers the chance to develop into broader operational leadership and future General Management opportunities within a growing international business.

If you're ready to step beyond your current role and take on a position with greater visibility, responsibility and long-term progression, we'd love to hear from you.

This role is being handled exclusively by MorePeople. Any direct applicants will be forwarded to our team. If you would like a confidential discussion about the opportunity, please feel free to contact Jack at (url removed)
