Your Role as an ASD Assistant
Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students with ASD.
Helping students engage with lessons and classroom activities.
Supporting communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
Helping students manage changes in routine and transitions throughout the school day.
Working closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual learning needs.
Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.What We're Looking for in an ASD Assistant
Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
Patient, calm, empathetic, and reliable.
Confident communicating with students and staff.
Able to build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
