How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A growing construction consultancy in Hertfordshire is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with more than five years' project management experience to take ownership of complex schemes, with healthcare experience particularly desirable.

The Senior Project Manager will lead projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and wider stakeholder groups. This Senior Project Manager role would suit a confident Senior Project Manager who can manage multidisciplinary teams, maintain strong client relationships, and deliver projects with limited supervision. The successful Senior Project Manager will join a collaborative consultancy with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities for progression.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Senior Project Manager's role

The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for delivering a range of projects, with a strong focus on healthcare schemes and other complex built environment work.

The Senior Project Manager will manage programme, procurement, consultant coordination, contract administration, risk, change control, project reporting, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

The Senior Project Manager will also chair meetings, monitor contractor performance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Where projects are delivered in live healthcare environments, the Senior Project Manager will need to manage phasing, access, stakeholder communication, and operational constraints carefully.

    The Senior Project Manager

The successful Senior Project Manager will have:

More than five years' project management experience
Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
Healthcare project experience would be highly beneficial
Experience leading projects from inception through to completion
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
    Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams
A proactive, organised, and commercially aware approach

    In Return?

    £65,000 - £75,000
    Pension contribution
    Professional membership support
    APC and chartership support
    Strong healthcare project exposure
    Senior client-facing responsibility
    Clear career progression opportunities
    Supportive Hertfordshire consultancy environment
