How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Quantity Surveyor - South West London

    A specialist cost consultancy based in South West London is looking to appoint an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their established team. Focusing exclusively on high-end residential property, this is an excellent opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to work on exceptional private homes, luxury refurbishments and bespoke residential developments across London.

    The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will manage projects from initial feasibility and detailed cost planning through procurement, construction and final account. Working alongside private clients, architects, interior designers and specialist contractors, the Project Quantity Surveyor will provide accurate commercial advice while maintaining the quality and attention to detail expected on premium residential schemes.

    This role would suit a Project Quantity Surveyor who enjoys highly detailed, design-led projects and wants to develop genuine expertise within the luxury residential market. The Project Quantity Surveyor will be trusted with their own commissions, taking responsibility for client communication and commercial delivery while benefiting from the support of experienced colleagues.

    Project Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

    Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets and feasibility estimates

    Producing tender documentation and managing competitive tender processes

    Advising private clients on procurement and contractual strategy

    Managing valuations, variations, change control and cost reporting

    Monitoring expenditure against agreed budgets throughout construction

    Negotiating and agreeing contractor final accounts

    Attending client, design team and site meetings

    Managing projects from early design through to completion

    Project Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

    Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline

    Strong UK PQS or cost consultancy experience

    Working towards MRICS through the RICS APC, or already chartered

    Experience within high-end residential, luxury refurbishment or bespoke private residential projects advantageous

    Good knowledge of JCT contracts and UK procurement methods

    Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

    Confident working directly with private clients and design-led project teams

    In Return:

    £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
