How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate - SEND Teaching Assistant**
    **Manchester | Immediate Opportunities | Full-Time & Part-Time | Aspire People**

    **Are you a Psychology Graduate interested in SEND and looking to gain practical experience working with children?**

    Aspire People are currently recruiting **Psychology Graduates** to support primary schools across Manchester.

    If you've recently completed a Psychology degree and are particularly interested in **Autism, ADHD, communication needs, learning difficulties or child development**, this could be a great opportunity to put your academic knowledge into practice.

    We're looking for graduates who want to understand how children learn, develop and communicate, and who are keen to build experience supporting pupils with additional needs.

    **The Role May Include:**

    * Providing 1:1 and small-group support
    * Supporting pupils with SEND
    * Helping children access classroom learning
    * Supporting communication and social development
    * Encouraging emotional regulation and independence
    * Assisting with interventions and learning activities
    * Supporting positive behaviour
    * Building trusting relationships with pupils
    * Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
    * Monitoring progress and sharing observations

    **We're Looking For:**

    * Degree in Psychology, Child Psychology or a related subject
    * Genuine interest in SEND and child development
    * Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
    * Strong communication skills
    * Ability to build positive relationships with children
    * Willingness to learn and develop within a school environment
    * Commitment to safeguarding

    Previous experience working with **children, young people, tutoring, mentoring or SEND** would be advantageous.
