How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Aspire People is recruiting Psychology Graduates to work as SEN Teaching Assistants across schools in Grantham.

    The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
    As a Psychology Graduate / SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils both in and outside the classroom.
    Your responsibilities may include:
    * Providing 1:1 and small-group support
    * Supporting pupils with SEND, ASD, SEMH and PMLD
    * Helping students engage with classroom learning
    * Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
    * Delivering or supporting targeted interventions
    * Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
    * Helping create a calm, safe and positive learning environment
    * Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
    * Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
    * Supporting individual learning and behaviour plans
    About You
    We're looking for Psychology graduates who are:
    * Patient, calm and empathetic
    * Resilient and adaptable
    * Confident communicating with children and young people
    * Passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
    * Interested in developing a career in psychology, education, therapy or SEND
    * Reliable and professional
    A Psychology degree or relevant degree is required.
    Previous experience working with children or adults with SEND, autism, mental health needs, learning difficulties or challenging behaviour is beneficial but not essential.
