How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Lead troubleshooting activities and problem-solving on the production floor
    • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
    • Drive improvements across safety, quality, efficiency and cost
    • Support new product launches and packaging improvement projects
    • Champion Lean manufacturing, GMP and best-practice ways of working

    Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure accurate record keeping and production documentation
    • Create and maintain standard operating documents and templates
    • Support compliance with food safety, quality and accreditation standards, including ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000
    • Maintain strong health and safety standards within the department

    About You

You're a people-first leader who enjoys being close to the action. You'll thrive in this role if you:

    • Enjoy motivating and developing teams
    • Stay calm and focused when challenges arise
    • Take a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
    • Can balance day-to-day delivery with continuous improvement
    • Communicate effectively across teams and departments
    • Take ownership and lead by example

    What you’ll bring

    • Demonstrated leadership or team management experience
    • Experience troubleshooting technical equipment and production issues
    • Understanding of technical processes and systems
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities
    • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
    • Physically able to carry out manual handling activities
    • Willingness to work shift patterns

Bonus points if you also have:
