How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    *MUST HAVE EV CHARGING EXPEREINCE

We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing scale-up in the EV charging and energy industry, delivering smart charging solutions across the UK and Europe.

As they continue to grow their UK install base, they're looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join their operations team as the technical backbone of 2nd line support. You'll act as the escalation point for 1st line agents and installers, developing deep product knowledge and becoming the go-to person for anything complex or unusual.

    What you'll do

    • Act as the 2nd line escalation point for installers and 1st line support agents across UK and ROI
    • Build and maintain deep working knowledge of the full product range
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated technical issues
    • Feed patterns and insights back to the wider team to help shape product and process improvements
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and internal knowledge base content
    • Support with training and occasional site visits as the role develops

    What you'll bring

    • Experience in a technical support, product support, or installer-facing technical role
    • Strong technical/product knowledge, with the ability to diagnose complex issues
    • Ability to translate technical detail into clear guidance for both agents and installers
    • Comfortable turning field patterns into structured feedback
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Nice to have

    • EV charging experience strongly preferred; renewables or similar energy industry background also considered
    • Experience with a ticketing system (e.g. Zendesk, HubSpot)

    The details

This is a flexible, remote-first role. There's an office you're welcome to use in Cambridge, and being within reach of it is a bonus for collaboration, but it isn't a requirement. Candidates based anywhere in the UK, including Scotland, are very welcome to apply. Salary is banded at £40k to £45k depending on experience (DOE), with flexibility for an exceptional candidate.

This is a varied role with real scope to grow into training and field-facing work over time, for the right person.
