How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    EPR Configuration Lead

SCFH works in partnership with healthcare organisations to shape the future of healthcare and deliver meaningful change now.

As we continue to grow, we are looking to connect with experienced EPR Configuration Leads to support NHS digital transformation and EPR programmes within acute Trust environments.

This role is suited to someone with strong hands-on configuration experience who can take ownership of configuration activity across a workstream or programme. You will lead and coordinate system build, testing, workflow validation and release activity, helping to ensure the solution is configured safely, consistently and in line with operational and clinical requirements.

You will work closely with Trust stakeholders, suppliers and wider delivery teams, providing clear direction to configuration teams and supporting successful delivery through to go-live and hypercare.

    What we’re looking for

    • Proven experience working within an acute NHS Trust environment
    • Experience leading configuration or build activity within an EPR or clinical systems programme
    • Strong hands-on experience of system build, configuration, testing and release activity
    • Experience coordinating configuration resources, managing priorities and overseeing delivery against agreed plans
    • A strong understanding of acute clinical and operational workflows
    • Experience working with clinical, operational, technical and supplier teams
    • The ability to identify configuration risks, dependencies and issues and drive them through to resolution
    • Confident communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills
    • A practical, organised and delivery-focused approach

Experience with any of the following systems would be particularly helpful

Nervecentre, Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, Allscripts/Altera, MEDITECH, Lorenzo, System C, TPP SystmOne, EMIS, RiO, Mosaic, Dedalus, Sunrise, IMS MAXIMS, Cambio COSMIC, CareFlow, or other comparable EPR, PAS or clinical systems.

    The role will involve

    • Leading and coordinating EPR configuration and build activity
    • Taking ownership of configuration plans, priorities, dependencies and deliverables
    • Providing guidance and oversight to configuration team members
    • Ensuring configuration standards, documentation and governance processes are followed
    • Leading workflow validation and design discussions with clinical and operational stakeholders
    • Translating agreed requirements and workflows into safe and effective system configuration
    • Overseeing testing activity, including test scripts, issue management and defect triage
    • Supporting release planning, UAT, go-live readiness and hypercare
    • Monitoring progress and providing clear updates on delivery, risks and issues
    • Working closely with clinical, operational, technical and supplier teams to support successful delivery

    Important

We can only consider applicants with proven experience working within an acute NHS environment. If you have not worked within an acute NHS Trust, or delivered into one in a relevant EPR configuration or systems-focused role, unfortunately your application will not be progressed.
