Are you a building surveyor a few years into your career, looking for genuine APC support and a real next step rather than just another job? This is a great opportunity with a well-established, multidisciplinary practice with a strong regional reputation - the kind of place that invests properly in getting its people chartered, not just filling a desk.
If you're on the APC pathway already, or ready to start it, this role offers the structure and mentoring to actually get there, alongside broad, hands-on surveying work rather than being pigeonholed into one narrow slice of the job.
The role
- Supporting building surveys, defect diagnosis and condition reports across commercial, residential and public sector buildings
- Assisting with contract administration, schedules of dilapidations and specification writing
- Working closely with senior surveyors on live projects, with real client-facing exposure
- Site visits and inspections across the region, so a full UK driving licence is needed
What they're looking for
- A degree in Building Surveying (RICS-accredited) or a closely related discipline
- Around two years' post-graduate experience in a building surveying environment
- On the APC pathway towards MRICS, or ready to start it
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with clients and contractors
- A full UK driving licence
Why this one's worth a conversation
- £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience
- Genuine, structured APC support towards chartered status - this is a firm that invests in getting people qualified
- Multidisciplinary environment giving broader exposure than a pure surveying practice
- A well-regarded, long-established name in the region with real career runway beyond APC
