How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Design

    B2C eCommerce

    London – Hybrid working.

    Permanent – salary £110K base plus generous benefits.


    We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Design to lead and elevate Product Design across a growing B2C eCommerce business


    You’ll lead a team of four experienced Product Designers and play a key role in raising the quality bar across UX, interaction and visual design, while establishing Design as an equal strategic partner to Product and Engineering.


    This is a leadership role for someone who gets genuine satisfaction from helping talented designers become exceptional-someone with outstanding product design judgement, strong craft credibility and the confidence to challenge teams to produce better work.


    You’ll be responsible for:


    • Coaching and developing an experienced Product Design team

    • Creating a strong culture of critique, learning and high standards

    • Defining a clear design vision and principles

    • Raising UX, interaction and visual design quality across the product experience

    • Partnering with Product, Engineering, Data & AI leadership to shape product direction

    • Strengthening design systems, research and design practices

    • Connecting great design with measurable customer and commercial outcomes


    We’re looking for someone who:


    • Has led and developed experienced Product Designers

    • Has exceptional product design judgement and taste

    • Thinks in customer problems rather than screens

    • Can balance strategic leadership with strong hands-on craft credibility

    • Knows when to coach, challenge and step into the work

    • Is commercially minded and understands how Design drives business value

    • Builds influence through credibility, curiosity and collaboration
