How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About Maconda

Maconda Solutions are one of the most innovative companies active in the UK construction sector.

We’ve pioneered new approaches to circular economy and digital Material Passports to support the built environment’s transition to a low-carbon future. Our clients are Tier-1 contractors, developers, major corporate tenants and the public sector; for whom we provide Material Passports and other digital tools alongside bespoke consultancy services.  We also work within the critical minerals and mining sector from our office in Perth, Australia.

As a recent and fast-moving startup, we deliver a tech-enabled service model while operating our flagship industry initiative, ROMULUS — a major public-private initiative to scale circular economy practice across London's built environment.

We are committed to circular economy in the built environment but what really sets us apart is our track record. Our leadership team are all industry insiders with decades of collective experience working on complex sites - we build solutions that the industry can actually use.

    Role Summary

We’re looking for applicants who understand site operations and project delivery.

You should have 1-3 years of direct operational experience on Tier-1 sites as operatives or junior site supervisors. Those with sub-contractor, construction engineer and main contractor backgrounds will be strongly considered.

This is an entry level role for Maconda and you will be working under supervision. We have a highly experienced senior team so you’ll have an excellent opportunity for further career development and mentorship.

The role is perfect for those who are looking to make a career move from site operations & delivery into a consulting role focused on the cutting-edge fields of circular economy and digital construction. You’ll use your experience to connect the practical & technical side of construction with digital data collection, supply chain networks and site coordination. There is also the opportunity for overseas travel with our Australian office.

Salary starts at £35,000. There is also the opportunity to share in Maconda's growth through EMI share options.

    KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Site Coordination

    •   Work with both Main Contractors and Sub-Contractors to coordinate deconstruction and logistics activities at both pre-construction and construction phase.

    Network and Relationships Building

    •   Be a reliable point of contact who can build rapport and sustain long-term working relationships along the entire construction ecosystem; from contractors to manufacturers to local government. You’ll be expected to help build and maintain relationships with a wide range of industry stakeholders to identify opportunities for reusing materials.

Support our Digital Team in Collecting Building Data

    • Use your knowledge of site operations and building materials to collect building data under supervision and direction from our senior team. You will be supported by digital tools that will help with surveys, audits and the creation of digital Material Passports.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    •  Genuine Site Experience : you've worked on or around active and complex sites, you understand how contractors and their supply chain operate, and can hold a credible conversation on site operations without needing everything explained. When asked, you should be able to easily describe the makeup of the construction industry and its key stakeholders as well as their role in the value chain and motivations

    We also look for:

    •   A genuine commitment to sustainability, with real interest in circular economy principles.

    •   Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to build relationships with a wide variety of people.

    •    Good written and verbal communication skills.

    •  Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines .

    •   A problem-solving mindset and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing, small-team environment.

    •    Reliable and able to work with a degree of autonomy.
