How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Corporate Partner – US Law Firm

The firm has an extensive network of offices across the United States, together with an established and growing presence in Asia. London is viewed as a strategically important bridge between these markets—connecting US clients and opportunities with the UK, Europe and Asia.

This is a financially strong and well-managed firm with a long record of sustained revenue growth. It has a substantial global corporate team, a proven appetite for lateral partner recruitment and an entrepreneurial culture that supports partners seeking to develop their practices.

The firm is genuinely integrated internationally, with a significant proportion of its work generated through collaboration between offices and practice groups. An incoming partner would therefore have meaningful access to cross-border relationships and referral opportunities, rather than simply joining a collection of overseas offices.

The successful partner is likely to have:

    • A strong private company M&A, private equity or broader corporate practice

    • An established and demonstrably portable client following

    • The ability to generate approximately £750,000 in the first year, with a credible route towards £1.5 million in year two

    • An entrepreneurial approach and the ambition to help build a larger London corporate offering

    • Clients who would benefit from access to a substantial US platform and growing Asian capabilities

The firm also offers extensive marketing and business-development support, a flexible and competitive approach to rates, and access to complementary practices including finance, disputes, employment, real estate and technology.

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious international platform that is actively investing in London, with the London office expected to play a central role in connecting the firm’s US network with its growing Asian practice.
