How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Accreditation Officer (Part‑Time, Remote)

    £21,000 p/a | 21 hours per week | Flexible working | 33 days holiday (pro‑rated)


    We are supporting a respected UK professional membership organisation within the engineering and science sectors as they recruit a part‑time Accreditation Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys process, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement and contributing to high professional standards across a specialist industry.


    About the Role

    As Accreditation Officer, you will oversee a broad range of accreditation and licensed activities, ensuring compliance with external bodies and supporting the organisation’s commitment to robust assessment practice. You’ll work closely with committees, volunteers, Higher Education Institutions and regulators, playing a key role in maintaining and developing accreditation frameworks.


    This is a varied, impactful role suited to a motivated self‑starter who enjoys autonomy, structure and being part of a small, collaborative team.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide administrative and organisational support to the Accreditation Committee
    • Manage accreditation processes, company approvals and relationships with HEIs and external regulators
    • Attend accreditation visits across the UK (approx. 4 per year; occasional overnight stays)
    • Maintain, update and rewrite internal regulations, procedures and policies
    • Organise and monitor training for volunteers involved in licensed activities
    • Support committee members and volunteers to ensure smooth delivery and continuous improvement
    • Implement and administer the annual CPD audit for registered members
    • Contribute to other licensed activities as required


    Experience & Skills

    • Experience managing processes, procedures or standards-based frameworks
    • Confident working with committees, volunteers and external stakeholders
    • Strong written skills, including drafting committee papers and reports
    • Experience with accreditation, membership, training or university quality systems
    • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail
    • Able to work autonomously and manage your own workload
    • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with varied audiences
    • A broad understanding of qualification systems is beneficial
