How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Team Leader – Fuels

    F.P.T. Industries Ltd – DART Aerospace

    About the Role

    F.P.T. Industries, part of DART Aerospace, is looking for a Team Leader – Fuels to lead a team of approximately 15–20 employees within our aerospace manufacturing operation in Portsmouth.

    This is a hands-on production leadership role for someone who can combine people management, operational discipline and a strong safety and quality mindset.


    You will be responsible for creating a right-first-time culture, developing your team and ensuring production commitments are achieved across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.


    What You’ll Do

    • Lead, motivate and develop a team of 15–20 production employees.
    • Drive a right-first-time culture focused on safety, quality and operational performance.
    • Deliver against production commitments and key KPIs including delivery, quality and productivity.
    • Manage attendance, sickness, holidays and day-to-day workforce requirements.
    • Support employee training, development and performance objectives.
    • Identify production issues and take appropriate corrective action.
    • Maintain a safe, structured and engaging working environment.
    • Update WIP trackers and support production documentation where required.
    • Work closely with the Group Leader and wider manufacturing teams to maintain production flow.


    What We’re Looking For

    • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
    • Strong people-management and communication skills.
    • Highly focused, accountable and target-driven approach.
    • Ability to motivate and engage production employees.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
    • Confidence making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Manufacturing experience preferred; aerospace experience is an asset.
    • Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Minimum A-levels, BTEC National Diploma or equivalent.


    Working Hours

    Day or early shift patterns are available.

    The site operates a 9-day fortnight, with every other Friday as a non-working day.
