How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Role

    We are looking for a Shift Process Operator to join our manufacturing team based in Ellesmere Port.


    Working as part of a shift team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant processes, ensuring production targets are achieved whilst maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.


    In this role, you will:

    • Operate plant processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Monitor and control manufacturing processes using a Distributed Control System (DCS).
    • Carry out shunting activities and couple and decouple ISO tanks.
    • Perform product sampling, testing and basic chemical analysis.
    • Support maintenance activities through plant isolation and Permit to Work systems.
    • Identify and resolve process issues to maintain safe and efficient operations.
    • Complete operational records, process data and shift reports accurately.
    • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and plant cleanliness.
    • Contribute to site safety initiatives, including our Journey to Zero Harm programme.


    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will be safety conscious, proactive and capable of working effectively within a process manufacturing environment.


    You will have:

    • A minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Process Plant Operations.
    • A valid Fork Lift Truck licence.
    • An understanding of COSHH principles and their application within plant operations.
    • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • A willingness to undertake Shunting Training and gain the relevant licence.
