How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Production Operative

    Chichester - PO18

    Working Pattern: 4 days on / 3 days off

    Working Hours: 6:00pm – 6:00am

    Salary: £34,865 per annum (gross)

    In this role you will help us to succeed by:

    As a Production Operative, you will play an important role in ensuring that production activities are completed efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards. You will work as part of the production team across a range of duties within the pack house and production areas.

    Responsibilities / Accountabilities

    Ensure all products are packed accurately and in accordance with customer specifications.

    Enforce and maintain an effective stock rotation system.

    Ensure the pack house is free from rubbish, clean, tidy and compliant with Food Hygiene and HACCP requirements.

    Maintain production areas and surrounding areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.

    Ensure all allocated tasks are completed fully, accurately and to the required standard.

    Ensure all relevant sign-off sheets and production records are completed correctly and on time.

    Comply with all Company policies, procedures and Health & Safety regulations.

    Comply with all Company Environmental Objectives and requirements.

    Liaise with the production team regarding product quality and raise any concerns promptly.

    Support the smooth and efficient running of production throughout the shift.

    Role Objectives / Goals / Targets

    Keep production areas clean, tidy and organised at all times.

    Ensure all cleaning and clean-down activities are completed to the required standard.

    Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety throughout the working area.

    Meet required production, quality and customer standards.

    Perform other reasonable duties as requested by the Production Supervisor or management team.

    The experience and skills that will help you hit the ground running are:

    Ability to operate effectively in all relevant positions within the DCF, including loading lines, boxing, palletising, packing and changing machines.

    Ability to work in accordance with Company Health & Safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols.

    Ability to interpret and follow product specifications and customer requirements.

    Ability to prioritise workload effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

    Ability to work independently using your own initiative.

    Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    Good attention to detail, particularly in relation to product quality, hygiene and customer specifications.

    A reliable and flexible approach to working hours and production requirements.
