We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join one of London’s leading fit out contractors, working across a range of high-profile commercial CAT A and CAT B schemes throughout Central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, typically managing 3–4 schemes at any one time, with individual project values ranging from £500,000 to £2.5 million.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the full mechanical delivery of CAT A and CAT B commercial fit out projects.

Overseeing 3–4 projects simultaneously across London Zone 1 & 2.

*

Taking responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

*

Managing project programmes, budgets, labour, materials and subcontractors.

*

Coordinating mechanical works with electrical, BMS, construction and other specialist trades.

*

Managing mechanical subcontractors and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Working closely with clients, consultants, main contractors and internal project teams.

*

Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information to ensure works are delivered correctly.

Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays or issues.

*

Ensuring all mechanical works meet the required quality, safety and compliance standards.

*

Managing variations, valuations, procurement and project costs.

*

Attending site meetings and providing regular project updates.

*

Overseeing testing, commissioning and final handover of mechanical systems.

*

Maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical project management within commercial fit out, with proven experience delivering CAT A and/or CAT B schemes.

You will be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and have experience working on projects valued between £500k and £2.5m. Strong organisational, commercial and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple disciplines across fast-paced Central London projects.
