How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you an experienced Commercial Account Manager or Strategic Account Manager with a strong understanding of the food and FMCG industry?

Do you enjoy building long-term relationships with major partners, while also having the opportunity to improve processes, develop a team and shape how an organisation works? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing food redistribution organisation that works with businesses across the entire food supply chain to make a genuine social impact.

    The Role

You will take ownership of approximately 25-30 strategic accounts, focusing on the organisations that contribute the greatest volumes of food.

Your focus will be on developing strong, long-term relationships with these organisations and ensuring they remain highly engaged with the organisation.

This is a genuinely strategic role. You will be expected to understand each partner's business, identify opportunities to develop the relationship and look for new ways to increase and improve the flow of food into the organisation.

Face-to-face relationship management is important, with key accounts ideally being visited once or twice a month.

Alongside managing your own portfolio, you will lead and develop a team of two Account Managers and a New Business Development professional, helping to develop their approach to account management and ensuring a consistent, commercially focused approach across the client base.

    What You'll Be Doing

Managing and developing a portfolio of 25-30 strategic food industry accounts
Building strong relationships with senior contacts across major organisations
Visiting key accounts regularly and developing face-to-face relationships
Understanding the commercial priorities and challenges of your partners
Identifying opportunities to increase engagement and food donations
Developing account plans and introducing a more strategic approach to account management
Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
Balancing a strong commercial approach with the organisation's charitable purpose and values Why Join?

This is a rare opportunity to combine commercial account management, people leadership and meaningful social impact.

You'll be managing some of the organisation's most important strategic relationships while also having genuine influence over how the commercial function develops.
