Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + bonus opportunities
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
The Opportunity
Are you an experienced HGV / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic looking to move away from the workshop?
We are looking for a Heavy Vehicle professional to become a Technical Trainer, helping train and develop the next generation of technicians.
No teaching or training experience is required. Full training and support will be provided, including the opportunity to gain a teaching qualification.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll use your industry experience to train apprentices and commercial delegates in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
Your role will include:
* Delivering practical workshop training
* Delivering classroom-based technical sessions
* Supporting Heavy Vehicle apprentices
* Assessing learner progress
* Maintaining learner and training records
* Helping apprentices develop their practical and technical skills
What You Need
We're looking for someone with:
* Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent
* Strong hands-on HGV / Heavy Vehicle maintenance experience
* Electrical diagnostics experience
* Knowledge of modern vehicle technology
* Good communication skills
* Enthusiasm for passing your knowledge on to others
* Full UK driving licence
You do not need a teaching qualification or previous teaching experience.
