Hours: Mon - Fri 7.30am - 4.00pm Friday
The Stores Person will report to the Stores Manager. This role will suit a motivated and methodical person to ensure that all goods coming into and going out of the stores environment are checked, packaged and handled correctly and that all paperwork is completed, and stock inventory is maintained accurate at all times. To service all workshops and customers daily for parts that may be required.
Responsibilities of the Stores Person:
* Pick according to delivery notes / picking sheets to service outside customers' requirements in a timely manner. Any shortages must be noted and advised to the After Sales Department. All parts picked must be packaged according to current requirements ready for dispatch to relevant destination
* To ensure that all stock is clearly marked with the correct part numbers and is stored safely in the correct location notifying the Stores Manager of any new or existing parts needing new locations
* Ensure that all stock returned from the workshops is listed and returned to the correct locations. All paperwork must be passed on to the Stores Manager for the inventory to be updated
* Enter data onto the computer from information received as required and print out any reports that may be needed thereafter
* Take an active role in regular stock checks and inform the Stores Manager of any differences
* To control consumable stock on a weekly basis carrying out stock checks and adjusting inventory as required. Service workshops with consumable items as required
* Service any workshop counter requirements in a prompt and efficient manner ensuring correct part number is entered onto relevant paperwork
* Keep stores areas inside and outside clean and safe ensuring stock/work remains inside the marked areas and walk-ways are always kept clear
* To adhere to the company's health and safety policies and to point out immediately to the Stores Manager any potential hazards
* Be proactive in ensuring stock is maintained at a correct level and inform the After Sales Manager of any item that is either low, out of stock, or overstocked or location is too small for stock, so that this can be investigated and rectified
* Ensure that any incorrect, faulty or damaged parts are logged and dealt with promptly following correct procedures for returns
* All goods being delivered onto site must be correctly signed for and checked on the day of arrival and then put away in a timely manner. Any shortages / incorrect supply must be logged and reported to the Stores Manager so that the supplier can be informed
* Carry out general store duties promptly and efficiently
