How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Academics is proud to be working with a fantastic primary school in Wandsworth, who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2026.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced EYFS practitioner to support children's learning and development within a nurturing Nursery environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team, providing high-quality support to pupils, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

    Role Details

    Start Date: September 2026 ASAP to July 2026
    Location: Wandsworth, South West London
    Contract: Full-time, term-time
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
    Pay: £95 per day, dependent on experienceThe Ideal Candidate Will:

    Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, Teaching Assistant studies, or a related field.
    Have proven experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally within a Nursery or primary school environment.
    Have experience supporting children with SEN, including adapting activities, using differentiated strategies, and providing personalised support.
    Have a strong understanding of EYFS principles and a genuine passion for supporting children's early development.
    Be caring, patient, enthusiastic, and nurturing in their approach.
    Be confident working as part of a team and able to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents/carers.
    Be committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all pupils.The School
